Getting a new barn roof
Bill has done a lot of work on the old barn. The garlic harvest is going in the barn this year (not the shop unlike the previous year since we doubled the planting quantity) so we are under pressure to get the foundation repaired, the building jacked up, a new roof and repairs to the barn board siding.
This week brings the new roof.

Congrats to your new barn roof, Angie. The best roof material that you can use for barns are metal roof because of its durability, long-term maintenance cost, and safety as metal roofs will not spark and ignite into flames during a wildfire or when lightning strike.

Bill sure knows his stuff and it's great that your barn got a new roof. Especially now that the garlic harvest is dawning. I agree with what Elizabeth advised, since metal roofs are indeed more durable than the conventional options and considering it's low maintenance, you could put more time on managing your farm.
