A journal of our adventures in construction, garlic farming and growing our own food as we transition from life in Chicago to life in Southwestern Wisconsin.
My garlic tops are starting to become pretty yellow! Today may be the day I sneak a peek at one of them. Not suprisingly, the hardnecks are still small and pretty green. I didn't think they'd fare too well down here, but I planted them for giggles anyway!
The garlic is shooting up fast here. I love seeing green (besides weeds) in the garden this early. I still have garlic that we harvested last year to eat. Hope you had a great "garlic day"!
Angie, have you poked around your woods for ramps yet? We've got 'em in Barron County, so they must be booming down your way.Big time alliumphiles here!Brett
