Finally got some seeds in the ground in the Chicago backyard.
I planted:
6 grafted apple trees - keeping them in Chicago for a year so I can baby them
Bull's Blood Beets
Arugula
Danver's Carrots
Purple top Turnips
French breakfast radish
Bill made a lovely supper last night of a pita with an egg on top, potato salad and a green salad.
I've also been able to ride my bike to work two times this week.
Congrats on getting some things in the ground. I've been planting for awhile, now I'm just waiting for things to come up.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do for a living? Is that something you're going to give up when you guys move? I have a lot of difficult days at work too, and gardening does help, a lot! :)
Gardening does wonders for the mind and heart. My garden partner got me a little garden plaque last summer. It reads: "Gardening- Cheaper than a shrink"

Hi Jena, I work in Corporate America: in a cubicle in the interior of a large highrise in downtown Chicago without any view of the out of doors. Its rather bleak.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy - love the plaque!
